Was a nice ride along the narrow country roads heading to Maldon. Along the way we passed many a beatiful cottage with smoke flowing from the chimney, the smell was better than any nagapoocha incense. Would happily trade in my busy melborne life for one of those cottages and a wood chopping job, couple of them even looked like there was room for sis and munchkin to move in. One day i'll have one, not now but one day. With that cottage will come an outside bath, wood pizza oven, kiln, pottery wheel, lots of big fires and a little Bob and (anne to name girl) running around.
Maldon was nice, lots of funky shops with funky old stuff, my sisters would of went nuts shopping, only thing we bought was some yummo chocolate and lunch. Nice Japanese shop in Maldon, beautiful 1720 japanese dresser (sold already 1.2k) considered ram raid that night. My Favourite thing in Maldon was a shop which had nice hand woven stiched wateva, chunky wool rugs, could feel the oil in the sheeps wool and the smell was nice as well. Would be nice to fall asleep on one of those rugs in front of open fire after a hard day of chopping wood. Lots of other bikes about, met alot of them up the Maldon lookout hill, you know the one recently on the news. Was where the F.B.I found alien remains. Nah made that bit up, was a nice hill however.
Maldon was a nice place to be on such a nice day in the sun, ride home was fun, Anne had to hold on tight hehe. Cant wait for Spring.
